We recently went to Camotes Island. It is located in
North-East of Cebu. From Cebu City, you have to travel to Danao Port located in
Danao. You can take a bus, jeepney, or own vehicle going there. By bus, you
have to go to the North Bus Terminal located in North Reclamation Area to ride
one. By jeepney, you go to SM City Cebu. Outside the mall, there are many
jeepneys going to Danao and stop at Danao Port. We decided bring our own
vehicle for convenience. It is easy to travel around the island with it.
We tried catching up the 2PM schedule to Camotes Island but
unfortunately we were not able to catch up so we just waited for the 5:30PM
schedule. Below is the schedule of the vessels.

While waiting for the next schedule, we decided to eat at Danao Fish
Port. It is just next from the port. Their foods are very delicious and affordable.
Our eyes were drooling looking at the food there.
The
port’s ticket booth opens at 4PM for the 5:30PM schedule so we went back at the
port at 4PM and luckily, we were the first in line. We bought tickets for ourselves
and also for the vehicle we were bringing. Tickets cost 180 Pesos, for our
vehicle is around 1,200 Pesos. Finally, our time to go to Camotes Island has
come! We were very excited going there. We had a good seat at vessel.
It took 2 hours and 30 minutes before we arrived at the
Island. If you are not bringing a vehicle there, you may take a ride with the “Habal-Hala”
for 50 Pesos only to bring you to the resort you want to go.
We stayed at Bellavistamare which is situated in Santiago
Beach, Camotes. Their rooms are very affordable. We rented their huge room
which is good for 8 for 3700 Pesos yet there were 9 of us so we just added an
extra charge of 200 Pesos. There were 2 bath and toilet rooms, 1 Double Deck
bed, 2 Queen Size beds, 1 Queen Sized Foam,
and 1 Single Sized Foam.
The resort has a very wide shoreline. Actually, they have
the same shoreline with Santiago Beach Resort.
The foreigner behind me is the own or Bellavistamare Resort. He is friendly and he gave us extra hours for the room.
Beside the beach, there is a sotukil. Their foods are very affordable and sumptuous! I love their foods. Many people dine there. There is also a live band their and party during the evening.

We enjoyed spending time along the beach during that night. Done swimming, drinking, games, and other stuff which are fun.
We woke up early to enjoy the place. We took breakfast at the resort. It was great having breakfast while enjoying the sea view.
Their pristine white sands and crystal clear waters are very
wonderful to look at. We enjoyed taking shots and swimming there. This place
reminded me of Boracay Island.
We decided to go back to sutukil for lunch. We just can't have enough of their yummy foods.
I will post the other
places we went in the island on my next posting.
