Sunken Cemetery

Sunken Cemetery - Camiguin

The Sunken Cemetery is the remains of the Camiguin's rested locals. The cemetery submerged when Mt. Vulcan erupted a long time ago. The Remnants of the structures and gravestones of the cemetery were still seen during low tide in 1848 but when Mt. Vulcan erupted again in 1871 for the fourth time, it buried the cemetery 20 feet deeper. In 1982, a large cross built with solidified lava was built to mark the cemetery.

Crossing to Sunken Cemetery
You will need to rent a fishing boat for P100 to the cemetery cross. It is near from the shore.

The Owners of the Boats love to shoot photos and do trick with it. We really enjoyed their company.
