Camiguin Island

Located in Mindanao, Philippines.
Camiguin is derived from the native word "Kamagong", species from the ebony tree which thrives near lake Mainit in the province of Surigao del Norte, the region from which the native inhabitant of this island are the Manobos, came from Kinamigin. Camiguin's local language is close from the Manobo language.

Camiguin Island is a pearl-shaped island which have approximately 238 km. This island moutains is reaching 5,000 ft. This island is encircled with a national road about 64 kilometers.

As we were travelling in the island, we saw White Island from afar along the road.

Mt. Hibok-Hibok

There many volcanoes in the island and some those is the Tres Marias which are the three small volcanoes from behind.

The Old Church Ruins

 The rocks were glued with white eggs. This church was built during 16th century and was ruined with the explosion of Mt. Vulcan during 1871 - 1875.

How to get there

Ride either Airplane or any shipping lines which goes to Camiguin. Once you arrive there, there are jeepneys for rent for your tour in Camiguin. Those jeepneys for rent usually seen at the airport.

Jeepney rent for 2 Days: Php3,000

But you can extend to 3 days for Php4,500
