Budlaan Falls

Who would have thought a Spectacular Waterfalls lies in the Cebu City? Most of us regularly pass by Sunny Hills and Gaisano Grand Mall Talamban, a very busy part of the city. We are living here in the city but never realize such gem exist. Budlaan Falls which is found in Barangay Budlaan, Cebu City.

How to get there?

From Gaisano Country Mall, Ride a Jeepney 13C, 13B, 62A, 62B, or any jeepney which passes Talamban (Fare: 7 Pesos). Tell the driver to stop you at Sunny Hills Talamban(Next to Gaisano Talamban). When you arrive at Sunny Hills, there are many habal-habal in the area. Just ride a Habal-Habal which is bound to Budlaan(Fare: 30 Pesos). It is 4.5 Kilometers from Sunny Hills to Barangay Budlaan.

When You Arrive in Budlaan

When you reach Barangay Budlaan, the motor driver will drop you in a store where you have to list your names for their record and emergency cases too. There are many guides on standby in the area. Guide fee is Php200. If it is your first time to visit the falls, I highly suggest you get a guide. The way to Budlaan falls is tricky and stiff. Definitely No Entrance Fee for the falls.

Trekking to Budlaan Falls

There are two ways to Budlaan Falls, you can walk to the woods. You will pass houses in the woods, it is quite a long way. As you get near to the falls, the way gets stiffer and a bit challenging. I suggest you wear shoes. I was wearing slippers that time and it was very arduous for me. The other way to the falls is trek through the river banks. That way is also challenging due to rocks and you have to climb while going to the falls. You will see many wonderful view there and different falls. The falls which you will possibly pass are: Tinisig Uwang Falls, Malingin Falls, Lanong, Kandumay, Malandong, Lut-od, and Kabang.

The Arrival

When   we arrived, the beauty of Budlaan Falls greeted us. Our long trek was worth it. It was a great site. The water was very cold. We enjoyed the falls. Such gem of nature has been preserved even it is in the city. It feels like I was taken out away from the city. It’s like I was in paradise.

CORDOVA WHITE SANDBAR

CORDOVA WHITE SAND BAR

Cebu City, the Queen City of the South is well known to be near tourist destinations like beaches, resorts, mountains, and other sites. Tourist destinations are close to the city. It is easy for local and foreign tourists to visit such destinations.

I have discovered a beach in Cordova which locals there visit every weekend to have a quick dip. It is already well known to locals before it spread over the net. The sandbar is a public beach which shows pristine white sands and crystal clear water. It is located in Cordova, Cebu.

How did I know about Cordova White Sandbar?

My home is near Cordova. There was a time when our family wanted to spend time in a beach, my late mother told us about a public beach in Cordova and she said it has white sand and the beach is beautiful. So my family head on the place and as we arrived on the site, such marvelous beauty of the beach greeted us. Since then, my family spends time there to have a dip. Such remarkable nameless beach deserves a name so I thought of naming it Cordova Sandbar and then enhanced by others into Cordova White Sandbar.

How to Get There?
🚗Ride Via V-HIRE from SM Cebu to Gaisano Cordova - 35 Pesos
🛵 Ride a Tricycle from Gaisano. It’s Pakyaw for 50 Pesos Only Good for 6 Persons.
